then the full national number minus any leading 0

If a number is displayed already including the +353 country code, just replace the '+' with the UK international access code of 00 and ignore any reference to '(0)'.

Numbers in Northern Ireland are part of the UK's numbering system; no special code is required from elsewhere in the UK - just dial the full 11-digit national number.

How to call the UK from Ireland

To call a United Kingdom landline or mobile phone from Ireland, dial 00 44, then the UK number without its leading zero.

For example, the UK number 01632 234567 should be dialled as 00 44 1632 234567 from Ireland.

Regular Northern Ireland landline phones can also be called by simply swapping the 028 area code for 048. For example, Belfast number (028) 9018 0012 can be dialled from the Republic as 048 9018 0012.

These codes and instructions apply when dialling any part of the UK including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.
