Calling Thailand

How to phone Thailand from the UK

Including how to call Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Chiang Mai and Hat Yai.

Thailand uses the country code +66.

From the United Kingdom you need to dial:

0066
then the full national number minus any leading 0

Example

Thailand number: 041 234567
Dialled from the UK as: 00 66 41 234567

Numbers beginning with +66

Sometimes, the number you want to call may already be written out including the +66 country code. For example:

  • +66 41 234567
  • +66 (0)41 234567

In such cases, you just replace the '+' with the UK international access code of 00 and ignore any reference to '(0)'. Both the examples above would be dialled as: 00 66 41 234567.

How do they call me from Thailand?

To call a United Kingdom landline or mobile phone from Thailand, dial 001 44, then the UK number without its leading zero.

For example, the UK number 01632 312829 should be dialled as 001 44 1632 312829 from Thailand.
